H.I.P [Hot Isostatic Press]
Ilshin Autoclave's HIP series is a hot isostatic pressing system(Max capacity. 50ℓ) used in high temperature(1200~1800℃) and high pressure(Max. 2,000㎏/㎠). There are many specifications and models according to customer requests.
HIP series consists of high pressure pump to raise a pressure of pressure medium, pressure vessel that endures high pressure and heater to raise a temperature. Pressure vessel of HIP series is designed and manufactured according to ASME code for safety and accuracy. We installed pressure sensor and thermocouple for measuring pressure and applied Continuous Thread Closure type for sealing.

What is a Hot Isostatic Pressing? |
Hot Isostatic Pressing is a manufacturing process used to reduce the porosity of metals and increase the density of many ceramic materials. This improves the material's mechanical properties and workability.
The HIP process subjects a component to both elevated temperature and isostatic gas pressure in a high pressure containment vessel. The pressurizing gas most widely used is argon. General pressure used for HIP process is 3,000㎏/㎠ . An inert gas is used, so that the material does not chemically react. Primary applications are the reduction of microshrinkage, the consolidation of powder metals, ceramic composites and metal cladding. Hot isostatic pressing is also used as part of a sintering (powder metallurgy) process and for fabrication of metal matrix composites. |
